Almost every day, every dentist hears “I’d rather be anywhere else but sitting in this dental chair!” Why do we hear that? For the most part, people don’t trust and they are afraid of dentists. This probably stems from a bad experience early in their life; a previous circumstance that left a bad taste in their mouth (all puns intended). Perhaps another dentist was insensitive to their needs and wounded them emotionally. Maybe the dentist had their own agenda and they didn’t pay attention to their client. It could be the dentist just didn’t listen or respect what you were saying and feeling. Because of any or all of these reasons, we want to work extra hard to earn your trust.

We always ask permission to proceed with anything, even the examination. You always know what we are going to do before anything is started. This is how we see it. Credentials

A true Missouri native, Dr. Sindelar was born and raised in St. Louis and has served the people of this area with excellent dental care since taking the reins of Sindelar Dental in 1981.

Dr. Sindelar earned his undergraduate degree at St. Louis University, and then attended dental school at Washington University School of Dental Medicine.

He has a passion for improving and caring for smiles, including performing smile makeovers and correcting teeth and bite alignment with Invisalign clear braces. He also seeks to inform his patients about the important link between oral health and overall wellbeing.

As a committed cosmetic and general dentist, Dr. Sindelar functioned as an instructor in the field of laser dentistry during the 1990s, and was voted one of St. Louis’ Top Dentists in 2009. In the same year, he also established The Midwest Center for Oral Systemic Health.

Dr. Sindelar and his wife of 25 years are fortunate to have two wonderful children, a daughter and a son. In his time away from the office, the doctor is an avid swimmer, and also enjoys bicycling, movies, and watching sports (especially when the Cardinals, Tigers, Rams, or Blues are playing!)
